Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack has been confronted by a group of emotional farmers who have declared the Nationals are finished if they don’t scrap the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. The Nationals leader copped a spray from one farmer who said if he did not “grow some spine” his party would be punished by voters at the next election. “The National party is not going to exist after the next election unless you grow some spine and stand up,” one farmer said to Mr McCormack. “Where's the passion? I Haven't seen any passion from you, you are like a poker player.”
